It's official, I actually NEED to exercise.
I mean, ok, so I always have probably needed to exercise. I'm not claiming to be some teenaged goddess with ridiculous metabolism. No, no. In fact I was never any of those things.... except teenaged.
This morning though, I woke up with a literal pain in my neck. No, not Emmett, although he was jumping on the bed beside me. I actually have this horrible pain and I can't turn my head to the right. Amazing. I didn't sleep on it funny or turn really fast or anything. I just went to bed and woke up broken. Conclusion: I am old and broken.
A similar thing happened to me about 5 or 6 years ago when I was backing the car out of the driveway. I turned around to look over the seat and wrenched my neck so badly that I screamed in pain and the neck muscle started to spasm. Yes, amazing. The problem that time was that I was young(er) and broken, that is: horribly out of shape. After I started exercising a couple times a week I started to feel much better (no spasms) and then I started to lose weight and gain muscle. Then I felt amazing (you know, actually amazing not sarcastic amazing).
After that a wedding happened and then a couple of kids and here I am.... old and broken. History tells me the solution is to get off my ass and exercise. I suppose I'm going to have to do that. I really want to, I'm just so tired. Although clearly I won't be able to look after anybody if I can't even look to my right. How does Beyonce do it?
