We went to the library and checked out a variety of books (for us and for him) and he's been really enjoying them. The ones for parents are FAR scarier.
I thought the sleep training books were varied and insane (back when he was an infant), but they've got nothing on "Elimination Communication" and "Naked Weekend Toilet Bootcamp" (just two of the many chapters in one of the books I've been reading). Seriously. People are messed UP.
I've also been reading some blogs like this series about motherhood around the world that describes life (including potty training standards) in Shanghai, China. I didn't know anything about split pants for toddlers and I find it so crazy and so interesting that that's what another culture finds totally normal.
Anyhow, we soldier on with our non-musical potty and the necessity of online shopping because the Huggies/Pampers Pull-up Industrial Complex has made these all but obsolete.
